We recommend cleansing your crystal upon receiving it to clear away any stray energies it may have absorbed during transit. Simple methods include placing it under moonlight overnight (especially during a full moon) or rinsing it under cool running water for about a minute (please note that softer minerals like Celestite and Selenite should not be exposed to water).
To prevent “tunneling” (when only the center of the wax burns), ensure that on the very first burn, you allow the entire surface to melt into an even pool of wax. This typically takes 2-3 hours. Before each subsequent use, trim the wick to about 0.5 cm (1/4 inch). This will ensure a stable flame and prevent black smoke.
